Samples of students' work that shows their writing skills and how much they improved 

Lesson1 Literacy 

This lesson was at the begining of Novemeber , throughout the lesson; I knew the students’ ability and skills in writing and helped me planning the next lessons effectively which linked to my PDP .

Learning Outcomes: KWWP1: Generate and expand ideas through shared and guided prewriting

Theme: My environment/ places in my city

Resources: for whole group were Hamad and Hamada story, ABC song and letter “d” ADEC book and for Focus group pencils, A4 papers, glues and cut environmental print images. 

Lesson 2 Literacy

I include this lesson into my best practice because during the lesson, I implemented a variety of successful assessment strategies that is linked to my professional development plan

Learning Outcomes: KLSP1: Recognize and use simple -at and -an VC pattern phonograms

Theme: Plants and animals

Resources: for Whole group were theme story “Dottie’s Garden”, Magnetic letters, Small board, Rhyme words PowerPoint, for Focus group pencils,  A4 paper , glues flash cards with the rhyming words, a board and for the Closing activity rhyming words’ video,  a boar and flash cards with the rhyming words .

Lesson 3 Literacy

I introduced this lesson in the learning hub within a training workshop for 15 ADEC teachers. It helped them observe new teaching and management strategies to improve their strategy. Furthermore, this lesson helped me achieved aim2 in my PDP.

Learning Outcomes: KRRM3: Retell a sequence of events in a story with the beginning, middle and end.

Theme: Reading is fun. 

Resources: for Whole group were ABC song, the story “I need a break”, for Focus group pencils, A4 paper , colored pencils , crayons , flash cards with the rhyming words a small white board, white board marker and for the Closing activity a white board and laminated A4 papers with the story events .... 

Lesson 4 Numeracy

This lesson was successful because the students loved the activities and students made connections between their learning and real life situation. Throughout this lesson, I implemented hands on activities that helped me in the PDP aim5.

Learning Outcomes:  K2SGD1: identify and sort familiar 2D shapes in exploration and play and recognize them in everyday contexts

Theme: My body and my senses 

Resources: for whole group were shape song, shapes mainpulatives , tape, for the focus group pencils, A3 paper, glues, different shapes images  and for the closing activity students’ work were used for show and tell …

Lesson 5 Numeracy

During this lesson, I implemented many successful strategies that helped me achieved my aim4 in the PDP and promote students’ critical thinking

Learning Outcomes:  K2SGD1: identify and sort familiar 3D shapes in exploration and play and recognize them in everyday contexts

Theme: My body and my senses 

Resources: for whole group were color song, number song, shape song , shape PowerPoint , shapes mainpulatives , an empty box, for the focus group different 2d and 3d shapes, and for the closing activity students’ work were used for show and tell.
